Cohort Reports are designed to identify trends and help CSM's and their directors understand how certain accounts behave over time based on when they started their life-cycle. Cohort Reports allow you to define criteria or goals based on event data and view the number of accounts that have achieved that criteria in groupings based on their start dates.
To create one, from the main left menu, click Dashboards > Cohort Reports and click New Cohort Report
Give it a name and description, and then select what type of event filter(s) you want to run in the report.
For example, let's say you want to see customers who have logged in 20 or more times. Similarly to creating segment filters, additional criteria is available for your filters to drill down further.
When you run the report, the data will populate with specific information about accounts that started as customers in the same month, and the percentage of them that have achieved the designated criteria in each month of their life-cycles:
For this example above, 6 accounts started in February 2018. In their first month, none of them achieved the designated goal of 20 logins. Moving down the row, 50% of the February 2018 starters achieved the 20 logins goal in their second month. Each row represents a different start month, and a different set of accounts who started in that month.
